WESTEC

SCT is currently exhibiting at WESTEC until Thursday. This biennial event is a west coast industry staple. After many years at the Los Angeles Convention Center, it has planted new roots at the Long Beach Convention Center for 2019 and onward.

 

 

Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show
(CMTS)

Just a few days after WESTEC, SCT will be exhibiting at CMTS. This event is also biennial and will be held at The International Centre. Our 2020 Canadian show will be in Montreal (MMTS).

 

 

 

SOUTHTEC

Our final stop, as well as final show of 2019, will be in Greenville, South Carolina for SOUTHTEC. While the West Coast is booming with aerospace, the lower East Coast  is known as a vital region for the automotive industry.

 

 

 

 

 

New Length and Sizes for Single Point Thread Mills

Scientific Cutting Tools has expanded the Single Point Thread Mill (SPTM) line with new sizes and lengths. The new tool diameter sizes include #5 threads from 40-56 TPI and 7/16 threads from 14-32 TPI for UN standards as well as larger M3 and M11 sizes for Metric. The new extra long neck (XL) lengths were created for deeper threads. All tools are available uncoated or with AlTiN coating.

The new sizes and lengths join the recent EXJ (External UNJ) addition. Single point thread mills are an economic tool and best seller that work well for applications that require low side-cutting pressure. SPTM UN thread mills are suitable for UNC, UNF, internal UNJ, and UNEF threads. The SPTM EXJ cuts external UNJ. Acme and stub Acme tools are also available.

Brand New Cavity Tool: Eaton Vickers

Eaton Vickers cavity tools are the newest addition to SCT’s cavity tool range. These tools are used for the manufacturing of valve body manifolds. Other tools in the line includes tools that meet Sun Cavity, Parker, or Hydraforce specifications. As with all of our tools, they can be ordered with or without ALTiN+ coating. Our carbide-tipped cavity tools come in both a roughing and a finishing version for your porting needs.
