Non-ferrous machining brings its own set of challenges. Aluminum and similar materials can create built-up edge, affect finish quality, and interrupt process consistency when the tooling is not matched to the application.

That is why these kits are built with a mixed coating strategy. The drill and porting tool are coated with Zirc, while the 15° helical thread mill is coated with Onyx DLC. Instead of treating the kit as a one-coating-fits-all solution, each tool is aligned with the job it performs in the process.
